Who runs this website
The Long Road Home website at thelongroadhome.com.au is owned and operated by Lachlan Stuart, based in Brisbane, Australia. If you have a question about your information, email lachie@themanthatcanproject.com.
What I collect
The signup form asks you to enter your name and email address. MailerLite and the website host may also process technical information as explained below.
You only give me your name and email if you decide to subscribe. You can read the whole website without subscribing.
What I use it for
Your name and email address are used to send you:
- weekly updates on the journey
- announcements
- event invitations
- ways to get involved
I use your name and email address to send the communications listed above and to manage your subscription. Your name is there so the emails are not addressed to a stranger.
I do not sell or rent subscriber information.
MailerLite manages the list
My subscriber list is managed by MailerLite, and MailerLite sends the emails. When you subscribe, your name and email address are stored on their service.
If you subscribe, MailerLite will send you a confirmation email. Your subscription starts only after you confirm it.
MailerLite may also collect technical information and use cookies, tracking technologies and email performance data, such as whether an email was delivered, opened, or had a link clicked. What they collect and why is set out in the MailerLite privacy policy.
How long I keep your information
I keep subscriber information while someone remains subscribed. After they unsubscribe, MailerLite may retain the minimum record needed to make sure they are not emailed again.
Vercel hosts the website
The website is hosted by Vercel. As with any web host, Vercel processes the normal technical information needed to deliver the pages to your browser and keep the site secure and available. See the Vercel privacy notice.
Tickets are handled by TryBooking
Tickets to the Long Lunch are sold through TryBooking. When you book, you leave this website and complete the purchase on TryBooking's own site. Payment details are entered and processed through TryBooking, not through this website.
What TryBooking collects when you book, and how it handles that information, is set out in the TryBooking privacy policy.
Donations are handled by Top Blokes Foundation
The homepage can show a donation form provided by Raisely for Top Blokes Foundation. It is not loaded when you open the page. Nothing is requested from Raisely until you choose to load the form, by pressing the Donate button or the load button in the donation section. Until then, no part of it runs on the page.
Once it loads, the form appears inside this website, but it is Raisely's form and it comes from Raisely. Anything you enter into it, including your details and payment information, is sent to Raisely and the payment services it uses, not to this website.
Top Blokes Foundation controls the Raisely campaign and receives the donor information. Lachlan Stuart and The Long Road Home do not receive or store donor information or payment details, whether you use the form on this website or on Raisely.
Loading the form may cause Raisely, and the payment, security, spam protection and analytics services its form uses, to process the ordinary technical information needed to show it to you, such as your IP address and browser details, and to use cookies or store information in your browser. That processing is carried out by those services, not by this website.
If you would rather not load the form here at all, you can open the campaign page on Raisely, which Top Blokes Foundation controls, and donate there instead.

Partnership enquiries
The partnership button opens your own email application with a message addressed to Jason Greenhalgh at Front Office Agency. There is no enquiry form on this website and no enquiry database behind it. Whatever you write goes from your email account to his, the same as any other email you send.
Websites I link to
This website also links out to Top Blokes Foundation, States of Mind, Instagram, Strava and my own website at lachlanstuart.com.au. This website does not embed content from those services. If you follow one of the links, you leave The Long Road Home website and the other service's privacy practices apply.
Your information may be processed outside Australia
MailerLite and Vercel provide services to this website, and in doing so they may store or process information outside Australia. I am not able to tell you which country that will be in your case, because it depends on how each provider runs its own infrastructure and that can change. Rather than guess, I would point you at their current privacy policies, linked above, which are the accurate source on where and how they handle information.
TryBooking is different again. You reach it by choosing to follow a link and leaving this website, and from that point it handles your information as its own service, under its own privacy policy.
Raisely provides the donation form on this website, and it and the services its form uses handle what they collect under their own privacy policies, linked above. Those policies are the accurate source on where that information is stored or processed.
Unsubscribing
Every email I send has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. Use it and you come off the list. You do not have to give a reason and you do not have to ask me first.
Asking about, correcting or deleting your information
Email lachie@themanthatcanproject.com if you want to know what information I hold about you, or you want it corrected or deleted. Tell me the email address you subscribed with so I can find you.
Analytics and advertising
As at the date at the top of this page, this website has no first party analytics, no advertising pixels and no behavioural advertising. I am telling you what is true now rather than making a promise about the future. If that changes in a way that matters, I will update this page.
The Raisely donation form on the homepage is separate. It is provided by Raisely, it loads only if you choose to load it, and as explained above, Raisely and the services its form uses, including analytics services, may collect technical information and set cookies at that point. This website does not receive that information.
Changes to this page
If the way this website handles information materially changes, I will update this page and change the date at the top.
